There has not been a day when I never heard that we live in a male-dominated society and I really don't understand what's the need of "male-dominated" syndrome...but still I continue to live as per my own normal routine because I am a Male and am free to do that. I still remember a Bollywood movie where it was shown how will be the society if there will be no female or if the ratio goes to 1:5 like Draupadi's. The depiction was extremely shocking. And after watching that movie I was confused whether we are heading towards same thing or we are ignoring a predictable future.
ऐसे ही एक बार यह भी ख्याल आया कि क्या होगा या कैसा हो जब किसी पुरुष को एक दिन के लिए ऐसी जगह पर वक़्त बिताना हो जहाँ सिर्फ स्त्रियाँ हो; हर उम्र की-हर रँग-रूप की- हर किस्म की-हर भेष में और हर वक़्त में। अब ऐसी तो फ़िल्में बन चुकी है जहाँ किसी पुरुष को महिला बन के दिन गुज़ारने थे लेकिन मुझे तो कुछ और पता करना था। इसलिए एक travel का plan बनाया और निकला अपने कुछ female friends के साथ। और किसी भी अनुभव के लिए train journey सबसे ज़्यादा सही होती है। क्यूँकी मुझे हर किस्म की स्त्रियों से मिलना था: उम्रदराज़ भी और कमसिन भी-शादीशुदा से लेकर कुँवारी और विधवा-एक पेशेवर से लेकर एक अकेली वृधा।
On this journey I spoke to almost every kind of female buddy and I got fair chances to know the womanhood in them. The conclusion to which I came was that a Woman is only to sacrifice. People might argue on this and I don't mind to have one-on-one on this. A girl is born and to survive in world she needs a father's name otherwise she will not be respected. While growing up and studying she is taught about household responsibilities because she can't stay with her parents, भले चाहे उसके ख़ुद के माँ-बाप को अकेला रहना पड़े। After marriage she is identified after husband's surname, even if she goes for a job or not. कितना अजीब लगा जब मुझसे किसीने कहा की पति की लम्बी आयु के लिए वह पेड़ की पूजा करती है, व्रत रखती है लेकिन उसके पास कोई जवाब नही था जब मैंने यह पूछा कि आपके पति आपकी लम्बी आयु के लिए कौन सा उपवास रखते है। I asked to various women on significance of wearing Mangalsutra/Bindi/Sindur and everybody said it's a proof that we are married, but they were clueless on how to identify a married male.
एक औरत ने अच्छी बात कही कि बच्चे को पैदा करने का दर्द भी वही सहती है और फिर बच्चे को जिंदा रखने के लिए भी उसे ही अपना दूध पिलाना पड़ता है, खून भी उसका, ममता भी उसकी, तमाम दुनियादारी से वही गुज़रती है फ़िर उसकी इतनी अवहेलना क्यूँ होती है। एक वेश्या ने भी कहा हम पैसे लेते है तो बुरे है लेकिन उनका क्या जो corporate world की बिस्तर पर दिन रात अपनी identity बेचते है। To this a working lady agreed but she stated this happens all because of men. The ladies stated a common thing that whether they are independent or not, they are always get treated as an object.
I talked and spent almost 36 hours with various kind of female and I really was surprised to see that they do nothing for their own individuality. शादीशुदा के पाँव में बिछिया होना ज़रूरी है, periods के समय precautions/alertness के साथ limit में रहना ज़रूरी है, उम्र में बदलाव के साथ संगत में सावधानी ज़रूरी है, शादी करना compulsory है...ऐसी कौन सी चीज़ नही है जिससे इन्हें परहेज़ करना ज़रूरी नही है। एक तरफ़ देवी पूजा भी करते है और फिर बच्चियों का बलात्कार भी करते है, वाह रे संस्कृति और सभ्यता।

लिखा गोत्र भी मेरा नहीं,

सब कुछ तो
तुम्हारे नाम का है मेरे पास ।
आखिर तुम्हारे पास ,

क्या है मेरे नाम का ???

And yes..in a coach there were 64 seats in total, out of which I saw average numbers of females in 20-24 ageing between 5-45 years..!
